Shared Notes in The Online Classroom

When you enter the online classroom, you will see a 'shared notes' function on the left panel of your screen.

Click on this to open the shared notes:

The shared notes acts as a live document between you and your students.

You can all type at the same time and see a live view of each other's edits.

There are formatting tools available, as shown here:

By pressing on the three vertical dots in the top right corner, you will see an option to 'pin notes onto whiteboard'. By clicking this, you can replace your whiteboard space with the shared notes:


To remove the shared notes from your whiteboard space, press on the X in the right top corner of the whiteboard space.

If you wish to download your work from the shared notes, you need to press on the download button.

This is shown with a red arrow on the image above.

By clicking on the download button, you will see these options:

You can click any link to download the shared notes in the corresponding format.

Our recommended formats are PDF or Microsoft Word.

Downloading a Microsoft Word file will allow you to continue editing the work at a later date, whereas a PDF will save a fixed, non-editable version of your notes.

To find where your file has saved to, please search your device's downloaded files.

On chrome, you may see a pop-up along the top of your screen showing the download:
